Points for Posts

ok, im still not sure if this is so but do we get points for posting in the chat thread and other useless well, non-productive threads in the Anything Goes section?


if we do get points, shouldn't that be stopped? i mean, points are a way of rewarding people for their contribution to the forums and to encourage more posts that actually have a PURPOSE. and awarding points for posts (like in CHAT THREAD) becomes sort of a shortcut to get more points. yes?

what do you think? am i wrong? if im not, PLEASE do something about it.

if points ARE to be given for chat thread posts, then, citing Jin's and Rukawa_Kaede's arguments (one that pertains to the difference between chat thread and shout box) should points be given for typing things in the SHOUT BOX too?

Ace should've scrapped the points system days back. The reputation system is better.

I can disable it in different sections.

So tell me which ones you want it in and which you dont.

Disable points in Anything Goes and Forum Games. Those sub categories have the maximum spam posts.

and you might want to disable it for the "Intro Section" which includes both Icebreaker and Hiatus child boards. it's spam heaven.
