Alternative title:
Legendz (Spanish)
Legendz - La leggenda dei re draghi (Italian)
Legendz: Tale of the Dragon Kings
レジェンズ 甦る竜王伝説 (Japanese)
Genres: adventure, comedy, fantasy

Plot Summary: Dark Wiz Company releases a toy called the talispod which allows children to "REBORN" and "CALL BACK" creatures called Legendz. Shuu receives a nonfunctional talispod from his father, and after being attacked by three characters from the toy company, he receives a souldoll containing a windragon named Shiron. Shuu uses Shiron to get out of many battles. His friends, Mac, Meg, and Dino also get Legendz, and they must try to avoid a war that will lead to the destruction of civilization.

With 50 episodes its a bit far-fetched compared to the manga which stands at 5 volumes. Although the manga does follow a different plot which is similar to pokeman the anime does it differently. You get a dumb kid called Shuu who barely listens to what people have to say and does what he feels like it. He has a 'not to worry' attitude. A positive outlook on life, more like too positive but in the end he prevails (in some way or the other). The first quarter is spent getting chased by three stooges from the Dark Wiz company and later it switches to a serious mode when the rest get their own Legendz and Meg tries to deal with her fears about Legendz and tries to run away from her own. She finally accepts it and a new battle begins where someone they know goes to the enemy's side and uses their knowledge about the Legendz to put them in unfavorable battles and finally at the climax an unexpected thing occurs. The anime retains its humor till the very last episode. The only interesting songs I found were the opening - Kaze no Legends by Kyoko and an insert song titled - Sorairo no yubisaki which plays around some happy/sad moments. There's a piano solo version available for the same though I didn't get the same feel as when I heard it in one of the episodes.
