Um, I already know that most of you guys do not watch TV. But this is something really interesting. I did see two episodes of this series, and I must say it is really interesting to watch the contestants do animation.
HP space, the all-new reality series that celebrates the spirit of creative innovation, premieres exclusively on STAR WORLD on Wed, 11 Nov, at 10 pm And on Channel V, every Tuesday at 6 pm
recognizing the growing number of aspiring artistic individuals in Asia, HP SPACE gives 12 contestants a chance to express themselves freely and prove their artistic chops. Armed with their skills and talents, they will battle it out for the top prize: US $50,000 and a once-in-lifetime opportunity to work on a film production at Fox Studies in Sydney, Australia.
Hosted by Channel [V]'s VJ Dom, VJ Juhi and VJ Lichen, the contestants will be tasked with a new creative challenge in each episode. Working in teams, the contestants will come up with new and inventive solutions while industry professionals guest star as advisors on the challenges. Judged by a panel of experts in the field, the winning team of each challenge will be rewarded while the lowest scoring members will be eliminated.
The new show exposes the artists to complex creative challenges minus the controversies that are customary reality show fare. They need not appeal for viewer votes, either. Acknowledged gurus in design, film, advertising and music have been enlisted, not only as mentors but as guest jurors. There will be two permanent judges: Japanese inventor Ban Yih Jheow and Australian advertising maven Sean Cummins, both internationally renowned.
Excellent audition pieces drove the selection committee to up the number of finalists from 12 to 16, picked from a field of 2,000.
The top 16 include two Filipinos— Manila-based music video director Rafael Francisco, 37, and Hong Kong Disney performer Adrienne Vergara, 25. Like the 14 others, Francisco and Vergara each submitted the required one-minute video pitch, which qualified them for the recent live audition in Singapore.
The rest of the finalists are:
Illustrator Admira Pustika (Indonesia); architect Brandon Liu, entrepreneur Daniel Tran and art director David Tan (Australia); design students Eric Zhang Hailin and Lora Lee (China); director/producer Kaz Cai (Singapore); music video director Liu Ming-Chun (Taiwan); graphic designer Note Pongsuang Kunprasop (Thailand); graphic designer Phan Huynh Trung (Vietnam); photographer Rohit Ferreira and visual artist Sawan (India); filmmaker Tan Chung Han (Malaysia); motion grapher Uni Lee (Korea).

I thought i would introduce this show to the people...the show is amazing ...it features the most creative 16 ppl in the entire southeast asia...they are divided into groups of threes or fours and have to perform a task within 5 days...the task given in each episode is different and ranges from decorating a hotel room to designing a dress to making a three minute anime...at the end of each episode there is an elimination in which the entire group has to be eliminated...
so far 3 contestants are remaining which are

This show has a very different concept which is brilliantly focussed upon...I have never seen shows like this...i think if a person has a little bittle of creativeness in him, he should watch it...most of the scenes are shot in singapore and the gala event at LASALLE COLLEGE OF ARTS...[i already knew about this college its a very famous one]...and they live at the GALLERY HOTEL..
trivia=the winner of this year's animax's crowbar awards [for a certain category] was from LASALLE...
and the finale is getting closer ... i think its on thursday 8pm

The challenge just concluded and the winner of the first HP space contest who will get a cash prize of 50,000 US $ and the job of a lifetime - to work on the cult classic Anime BUBLEGUM CRISIS in Australia is
