Zodiac tells the story of the hunt for a notorious serial killer known as "Zodiac" who killed in and around the San Francisco Bay Area during the late 1960s and early 1970s, leaving several victims in his wake and taunting police with letters and ciphers mailed to newspapers. The case remains one of San Francisco's most infamous unsolved crimes.

The movie mainly focuses on the search for 'Zodiac' by the SFPD led by inspector David Toschi(Mark Ruffalo) and in later years by Robert Graysmith(Jake Gyllenhaal),an ordinary cartoonist for the San Francisco Chronicle.
Apart from Ruffalo and Gyllenhaal the movie also stars Robert Downey Jr in a not-so-significant role.

Zodiac Zodiac1

I liked the movie a lot especially since it was able to thrill the audience without a any dosage of blood or gore. The only shortcoming might be the duration of the movie. Also it doesn't have a very conclusive ending. But then I guess David Fincher(famed director of Fight Club) might have wanted to keep the story as close to the real-life account of the 'Zodiac' as possible.

But this is a great movie nonetheless.Definitely worth a watch.
