Or Colorcloud palace as it is known on Animax… this is the manga for the anime…. And I dunno which one came first really…. But suffice to say that they are basically identical in terms of storyline…. Not too many chapters out yet though…. You might be better off following the anime but in case anime is not your thing…. You have no excuse to skip this manga…. A young woman wants to join the civil services to help her country… only problem is that women are not allowed to join the civil services according to the laws of the kingdom…. Then one of her fathers friends (also one of the most powerful ministers in the kings court) offers her an interesting proposition… he offers to pay her a handsome salary if she would agree to become the young Emperors temporary wife and try to coax him into actually performing his kingly duties… she accepts the pffer… and thus begins the Saiunkoku Monogatari…
