Oh I loved that AXE ad. Unfortunately some idiot women with too much time on their hands got offended and called for a ban.. but I think the ban was removed since.. don't remember.

I loved the Hutch pug one's.. The Zoozoo's, well I loved the idea, and the initial one's were good, but then they overdid it, IMO.

WTF? these people give feminists a bad name... not that im a fan of theirs or something

true, true. the pug was cute and all. i even got the song "You and I" when the advert first hit the TV.
zoo zoo's are ok. they got crappy after some time, i agree. but they were pretty original an idea. i mean, it took me a lot of time to believe that it was NOT animation. my favorite is the one with the crocodile/alligator and shocking news.


i saw this advert for Parachute Jasmine and damn that song is stuck in my head! the girl in it is pretty good looking too. it's really funny with the hiccups in the chemistry lab, on stage, karate class. i kinda like it a lot.

I like the ACT II ad.not the Rahul ke papa one.The simpler one which goes:
You know why companies make ads?So that you can go and make yourself a bowl of popcorn whtout missing your favorite show.Honest.

yeah the ACT II ad is good. not too flashy but good. i like that.

i saw this PULSAR ad with the "I'm the MAN!" song. pretty good. they made it out like it was a bank robbery(kinda spaghetti western. very slightly) and then this VERY indian bike in the middle. the guy looks totally MORONIC! but the advert as a whole is pretty good. i'd wanna get the "I'm The Man" song too. gets in your head.

ZooZoo's were decent enough, but the repetition kinda killed it, IMO...

The Horlicks active ad is the silliest one yet. It states that more than 50% of people lack vital nutrients, and the study concludes that Horlicks is the best food to combat this...With the banner on screen proclaiming that the study was conducted by a research facility called 'Horlicks labs'...

Hmm...I wonder why I'm not convinced of their impartiality..

i think what AXE is doing is that they put the same adverts with the different models according to region. i mean, what we get is the asian version adverts. i saw this middle east version with the VERY SAME theme; guy walks into the shop, chick makes sandwitch for him but writes her number in ketchup. but this time they had this lousy malnutritioned model for the sandwitch lady. and she doesn't even get the expression right. SACRILIGE!

actually, the dr.dude-guy first says that people lack micro-nutrients. and then he fails to mention that Horlicks replenishing the daily requirement of micro-nutrients in the ad. i did a wiki-search on micronutrients and found out that it's pretty important but if you have a proper meal you get it nice and sassy. i mean if a guy can afford to buy horlicks there's a good chance he's having an OK meal and he gets it nice and super sassy.
and yeah the HORLICKS LAB was kinda gay too.

@Arrow: dude, i have this thing on asian people. you see, i just feel "uncomfortable" with asian people around me. either i wanna punch them in he face or stay away from them.it's weird, but it's true. i have the same thing for certain arabs and girls who look younger than their actual age. im being serous here. i can't even look 'em in the eyes. it;s either a punch in the kisser or run away as fast as i can.
this may be the reason why i don't watch many live action Jap movies and JDramas.
there are exceptions though. i like this asian model(actually she's russian) Maria Mogsolova (from F) and... that's it.

There's more- The Hutch ads with the pug are real good, but I wonder why they used that specific breed. It would have looked good with any breed, even a stray dog...

On the other hand- the Xylo ad, 'time of your life' is annoying and frankly reeks of stock footage simply pasted together with lotsa neon...

'The Fastest Indian' Pulsar 220 ad really gets me. The bank robber guy reminds me of the sidekick from 'Nacho Libre'



How about this, not just ad's you like, talk about ads you find ridiculously annoying.
For example, the americanised version of the aforementioned AxE ad. I saw it on Some malayalam channel the other day, and it SUCKS. I mean, it shows how much difference the actors make, the 'chinky' supermodel whups this white witch's rear end...

There are also a lot of other badly made ads. Could only remember hamam at the moment.

Yeah, I've seen that one. The person with the most feeling in it is the guy who's "Wooorking out..Just Wooorking out" It's a good ad.

Though Airtel has upped the cute factor on their new "special 5 ads". Instead of one cute kid, they roped in 6 of em now...it's reasonably good too.

BUT- the Winners are-

Bingo!- Their new ad campaign spoofing crappy cooking shows, and the Ad that's "Low Budget" so that they can add 50% chips in the packet. Brilliant stuff.

AND

Munch- Spoofing Dairy Milk's "Pehli Tarik" ads, it says, you don't have to wait for a specific date to eat munch, you can eat it anytime you want. Not great, but I found Dairy Milk's ads annoying...so I welcome spoofs..
