Cross Game

Plot: Elementary school student Koh Kitamura lives next door to the Tsukishima family, owners
of a batting cage and the Clover cafe. His girlfriend, Wakaba, is the
2nd Tsukishima daughter; the 3rd daughter, the baseball prodigy Aoba,
can't stand him. Wakaba dreams of Koh pitching at legendary Koshien
Stadium, site of the national high school championship finals. However,
tragedy strikes, and it is up to Koh, with the help of Aoba and his
other teammates, to make Wakaba's dream come true.


Thanks to kyo for letting me know about this gem of a series.It's definitely one of the best ever in the slice of life cum romance cum sports genre.
I have plenty to say about this series but all of it can be summed up in the word...must-watch. ^^

Yes...May-chan has be bugging me to no end 'cause I discontinued watching the series mid way. The little I have seen of it,I've liked it. Pretty sure I'll pick it up once again when my Manga lust is pacified for the time being.

I just don't like to pick up ongoing series much 'cause you have to wait a week for new epis to air. It gets frustrating sometimes. I usually don't like waiting much... >.<

Yea I feel the same way about ongoing series you know.But once I got hooked to the plot it was impossible to stop.
And 38 episodes have been released already...just one more to go which should be out by the 27th.
But unlike other sites(read ANN)anidb says CG is going to have 51 episodes.Now I'm not sure >_<

On the other hand Cross Game will have 51 episodes..which means a nerve-wracking wait is on the cards for me.

Koh and Aoba are just made for each other.They SHOULD be together....screw Akane..she is just a Wakaba-lookalike that's all.

Yeah yeah... I guess Akane is still the look alike... and I dont really dislike the Aoba Koh pairing... I actually hope this manga is an indication of how things might go for me as well!!

I want to thank Mitsuru Adachi for the amazing gift that Cross Game is.The heart-warming story,the plot,the characters and their inter-relationships and the wonderful game of baseball that ties them all together...I won't forget anything.Cross Game will always be a precious part of my memories.
No I'm not exaggerating.
This is undoubtedly one of the best slice of life manga/anime I've ever read/watched.....if not the very best.

I just finished with the manga yesterday and I'm up-to-date with the anime which is at episode 47.
*sigh* I hope Adachi continues surprising us with his genius when it comes to weaving stories.

Hes working on a new one right now actually... there was a rumor of him doing something in collaboration with Takahashi... wonder if thats hit the presses yet....
