Oh, those were good times. Fun times.
The mid and late 90s were so frikkin sweet!

Cartoon Network had Birdman, Secret Squirrel, 2 Stupid Dogs, Space Ghost and SWAT KATS
And Doordarshan had Duck Tales, Chip'n'Dare: Rescue Rangers, Mummies Alive!, Thundercats and Phantom(the one from the future). Also some bat-shit crazy show called SUPER-HUMAN SAMURAI: THE CYBER SQUAD. Somehow, after this show, the Power Rangers fad that everyone had never got to me. YAY!
And the Star networks had this weird channel that showed TMNT and Spiderman and that sick Batman series with Adam West in it.
I remember watching a Spiderwoman series in Doordarshan which was later replaced by a lame show called Goof Troops. Frikkin' Disney!

Later on there was the FOX KIDS time slot in Star World which had AWESOME shows like X Men, The Tick, Biker Mice from Mars and Action Man but the sad part was that I had to get up early in the morning like at 6 AM to watch all this.

But still,... life was simple back then.
School-> Football -> Home -> TV -> Sleep
And a whole lot of eating in between.
I miss the old days.

Swatkats! Man, I remember how crazy I was for that when I was in the middle school i.e. age 10 to 12. I religiously watched it every frikkin day(4 pm on Cartoon Network. I also remember the time!), think about it all day, play Swatkats-Swatkats with my friends every evening and dream about it at night. I still remember one-
Me and my best friend were in the same plane- me as Bade Miyan(T-Bone, whom I idolized. I guess that's where my tenderness towards fat people come from) and my friend as Chhote Miyan(Razor). We were flying when we were attacked by Dark Kat. I lost control of the plane and forgot all the buttons and there purposes.
My friend: Oye! Do something!
Me: What do I do? I have never ridden a plane before!

We landed in my building's parking lot with both the wings of the plane clipped.

Good times...

Birdman, Secret Squirrel, 2 Stupid Dogs, Space Ghost and SWAT KATS

Space Ghost got another show. A talk show spoof. It used to come in a late night (1 or 2 am) time slot.
It was called Space Ghost Coast to Coast. It had a spinoff called the 'Brak Show'. Some surreal trippy shit. Targeted at older audiences, I'd assume. Also, there was something called 'Home Movies' which is like an early, less obscene cousin of 'South Park' and 15 minute segments called 'Captain Oblivious or something.

Basically most of my kiddie memories of Cartoon Network have been replaced by the memory of the one night I stayed up late and watched some trippy as hell late night cartoons. (They're all on Adult swim in other countries, BTW)

Also, more recently-

Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law features ex-superhero Harvey T. Birdman of Birdman and the Galaxy Trio as an attorney working for a law firm alongside other cartoon stars from 1960s and 1970s Hanna-Barbera cartoon series

And Doordarshan had Duck Tales, Chip'n'Dare: Rescue Rangers, Mummies Alive!, Thundercats and Phantom(the one from the future). Also some bat-shit crazy show called SUPER-HUMAN SAMURAI: THE CYBER SQUAD

Oh I KNEW I wasn't the only one. For gosh sake, NOBODY I KNOW watched Superhuman Samurai or Mummies Alive. The Mummies Alive Theme song has stayed in my head for all these years.

And the Star networks had this weird channel that showed TMNT and Spiderman and that sick Batman series with Adam West in it

Guess what the name of the weird channel was?
Star *FRIGGIN* Plus.
The same channel that hosts Saas Bahu Battles all day nowadays.
At one point it was 100% English. It aired Small Wonder and BATMAN!
Oh crap that Batman show was the gayest thing ever, but i didn't care cause I was like, 6 years old at the time.
The Theme Song? NA NA NA NA NA NA BATMAAAN!!

Later on there was the FOX KIDS time slot in Star World which had AWESOME shows like X Men, The Tick, Biker Mice from Mars and Action Man but the sad part was that I had to get up early in the morning like at 6 AM to watch all this.

6 AM? They repeated from 12 to 2pm. I saw them in the afternoon during lunch. The X-men Show on Fox what got me interested in comics. That and borrowing my *15 year older* neighbors Archie comics when I was 7 years old.

Other stuff I was into include
-Spiderman- The Fox Kids one and the Newer CGI one.
-Batman- The original Animated Series, and Batman Of The Future (showed it on Toonami)
-There was a channel which showed Sesame street back in 1999, and showed all kinds of shows in the afternoons...
-X-Men Evolution!
-Swat Kats. Undeniably. The Theme music was the first (sort of)Rock song I listened to and liked.

-And I watched all this in ENGLISH. Sue me, Omkar, but It was a million times better in it's original language. It got cringe worthy when The Mask said 'sss-Jhakaass'...I mean, COME ON!!!

And does nobody remember Nickelodeon?
It wasn't always this shitty, you know-

Back in the 90's there was-
-Hey Arnold!
-CatDog
-The Fairly OddParents
-The Wild Thornberrys (Even my MOM watched this)
-Rocket Power
-The Angry Beavers

And some stuff that wasn't Animated like
-All That
-Keenan & Kel
-The Amanda Show
-The Adventures of Pete and Pete...
and it's all GONE now. Those Nickelodeon Morons.

I never got into the Adult Swim thing much but I know this for a fact that the Bark Show and Sea Lab was pretty killer. Never got to see Home Movies much either but now that you mentioned it,... it does look a LOT like South Park. But I think I remember hearing the censoring *BLEEP* sound in that show. Too vague to remember correctly.

Arr0wHeaD wrote:The Mummies Alive Theme song has stayed in my head for all these years.
Yeah it DOES get in your head. But now, it sounds pretty LAME.
They had all these cool ancient Egyptian Bikes and Fighter Jets(?) and something about reincarnated prince. Not sure.

Well, the afternoon thing was like way later on. This was from before that.
At first they used to show it only at around 6 AM.

And yeah the X Men cartoon was pretty rad.... but some of it was way different from the comics. Then again, the ass-fags at Marvel never made up their mind about ANYTHING. I liked the cartoon version's explanation of Jean Grey's Phoenix identity. The movies sucked BTW(except maybe for the first part.... it sucked comparatively less)
Tick was a series nobody really cared about but it was pretty funny. It's a parody on superheroes.

Batman of the Future was pretty kickass. It could be the only cartoon I watched with my brother. BTW, he hates anything animated(Except maybe Ice Age). But I didn't like Terry's reason to take the cowl. It's more Spiderman than Batman. ie, the guilt thing. But the show had some AWESOME baddies like INK, Kirara and that Powers guy. Brilliant characters as far as baddies are concerned. And the Opening song ROCKS!

Arr0wHeaD wrote:And I watched all this in ENGLISH. Sue me, Omkar, but It was a million times better in it's original language. It got cringe worthy when The Mask said 'sss-Jhakaass'...I mean, COME ON!!!
Amen! These shows just don't cut it in Hindi.

Arr0wHeaD wrote:And does nobody remember Nickelodeon?

Yeah!
It had Melissa Joan Hart in Clarissa. Oh sweet baby!
And then there was yeah CatDog, Hey Arnold! and Wild Thorn Berrys... true, but REN & STIMPY was awesome funny too. Rocko's Modern Life was just plain weird.
But nothing compares to ANGRY BEAVERS! This was the show that made me the loudest. I still remember "SPOODY BEAVER!" and Yahoo Soda and Muscular Beaver jokes from the show.
Invader Zim, Jimmy Neutron and Fairily Odd Parents came later on bringing thier fair share of the funny but that was ways later on.
Rocket Power was good,.... it's own Hawaiian way, right cousin? \=P

Arr0wHeaD wrote:And some stuff that wasn't Animated like

Oh yeah. All That and Keenan and Kel were good.
All That was funny with the REPAIR MAN-MAN-man-man, Jimmy Bond and Piere Escargot skits.
As time went by, All That became crappy with a new cast.... except for Chelsea Brummet..... oh sweet baby!
And Keenan & Kel stopped altogether.
Adventures of Pete and Pete was a very good show. Weird in it's own way but still pretty good. That Artie guy bugged me though. But the best part was the opening theme. It's called "Hey Sandy" by Polaris.
The Amanda Show? Really? People like that kinda thing? Blech!
The only thing good that ever came out of the Amanda Show was probably DRAKE AND JOSH! coz both of them were in it.
I used to like that other show called FIGURE IT OUT. It almost always had Danny Timberelli(Adventures of Pete and Pete) in it.
And also that show called DOUBLE DARE. It was so ooey-gooey fun!
I guess Nickelodeon is full of morons for the crap they have now.

Did I post here before? I managed to collect some select series I watched during my childhood but never had the chance to finish them. I can't even get to watching them now, at a stretch it gets tiresome. So, for the most I checked just one or two episodes. Mummies Alive! was awesome as always.
@Red: Found the genie finally. I haz Shazzan but haven't got beyond the second episode. If only someone out there was kind enough to get all the HB toon episodes on MU I'd spend an entire month getting them.

[Le-Bump]
After watching a new Scooby Doo movie which caught me by surprise because it was 2D, I did a wiki and started grabbing all of his direct to home movies. I must say, nostalgia has caught up to me in a really big way. I miss my childhood now, the time I spent watching CN. I'm just happy that I was able to watch all those classics back then. The toons of now don't even compare to what they had back then.

So, a renewed list of shows I watched as a kid.
